An Authentic Football Helmet is an excellent collectible that holds its value extremely well. Unlike trading cards, beanie babies, pogs, and beercans, an authentic football helmet increases in value each and every year. It is an excellent item for individual autographs, or the entire team. Unlike a trading card, picture, pennant, or poster, a football helmet is very durable and will last a lifetime. Great for the office, bedroom. Bar, or den. All helmets purchased from Real Stuff Sports come complete with a facemask and chinstrap. Typically these are Quarterback Style masks and chinstraps; However we do offer Custom Facemasks and Chinstraps. All helmets purchased from Real Stuff Sports, unless indicated, are brand new, in the original box, covered by a protective plastic bag, with any tags attached. We do not sell refurbished, used, helmets. Unlike baseball card shops and hobby stores, Real Stuff Sports carries a full line of helmets in stock and ready to ship, insuring that you receive your helmet when you want it, in a timely manner. Real Stuff Sports is proud to offer both Riddell and Schutt AIR Authentic Helmets. Both styles are used by both College and NFL teams. Schutt does not have a license to sell NFL helmets to the public for collectible purposes. Therefore, most of the Schutt helmets offered by Real Stuff Sports are NCAA College helmets. Riddell is licensed to sell both NFL and NCAA helmets, and Real Stuff Sports offers both. Typically if a player wore Schutt AIR in college, he usually continues to wear that brand during his NFL career. The same holds true for players preferring the Riddell brand. Keyshawn Johnson, Charles Woodson, Terrell Owens, Jeremy Shockey, and Tim Brown are examples of players that wear SchuttAIR Helmets in the NFL. Brett Favre, Ricky Williams, Randy Moss, Drew Brees, Chad Pennington, and Emmitt Smith are examples of players that wear Riddell Helmets in the NFL. Often times a players wears one brand in College, and then switches to the other during his NFL career. Brett Favre, Steve Young, Troy Aikman, and Brian Griese all wore Schutt AIR Helmets in College, and early in their NFL career, but then switched to Riddell Helmets. The physical differences between the two brands is small:
Riddell helmets have a ridge running down the middle of the helmet. Schutt helmets have ventilation holes at the top. Riddell has a sweatband or neckpad on the rear of the helmet with the Riddell name. All helmets sold by Real Stuff Sports are for collectible purposes only, and not to be used in competitive play. |
